These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of Christabel Hart & Co’s website, located at https://www.christabelhart.co.

By accessing this website and/or placing an order, you agree to these terms and conditions. Please do not continue to use this website if you do not agree to the terms stated on this page.

For the purposes of these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” refers to Christabel Hart & Co. “You” and “your” refers to the customer or website user.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Website Use

The content on this website is provided for general information and shopping purposes. We make every effort to ensure that the information on our website is accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that all content, descriptions, prices or availability will be completely free from error.

We reserve the right to update, amend or remove website content at any time.

Products

We make every effort to describe and photograph our products as accurately as possible. However, colours may vary slightly depending on screen settings, lighting and the handmade nature of certain items.

Where products are handmade, hand-finished or made to order, small variations in colour, finish, size or detailing may occur. These variations are part of the character of the piece and should not be considered faults.

Orders

Once you place an order, you will receive an order confirmation by email. This confirms that we have received your order, but it does not guarantee acceptance of the order.

  • We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order if:

  • An item is unavailable

  • There has been an error in the product description or price

  • Payment has not been received or authorised

  • We are unable to fulfil the order for any reason

If we need to cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will issue a refund to the original payment method.

Pricing and Payment

All prices are shown in GBP (£) unless otherwise stated.

We reserve the right to update prices at any time. If a pricing error is discovered after you have placed an order, we will contact you as soon as possible to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price or cancel the order.

Payment must be received in full before an order is processed or dispatched.

Made-to-Order Items

Some items are made to order and may have a longer lead time. Where this applies, the approximate lead time will be stated on the product page.

Lead times are estimates and may vary slightly due to the handmade nature of the products, supplier timings, shipping delays or circumstances outside our control. We will do our best to keep you informed of any significant delay.

Made-to-order, bespoke or personalised items may not be eligible for cancellation or return once production has begun, unless they are faulty or damaged. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Delivery

Delivery options, estimated delivery times and delivery charges will be shown at checkout or on the relevant product page.

For in-stock items, we aim to dispatch orders within 2-3 days. Made-to-order items will be dispatched once they are ready.

Please note that delivery times are estimates and cannot be guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by couriers, customs, weather, incorrect delivery information or other circumstances outside our control.

Larger items may require specialist delivery. Where this applies, we will contact you to arrange a suitable delivery date.

Delivery Address

Please ensure that your delivery address is correct when placing your order. We cannot be responsible for orders delayed, lost or returned due to incorrect or incomplete delivery details.

If an order is returned to us because of an incorrect address or failed delivery attempt, you may be responsible for any additional delivery charges.

Returns & Cancellations

For eligible in-stock items purchased online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your goods.

You then have a further 14 days to return the item to us.

To request a return, please contact us by email at hello@christabels.org with your order number and reason for return.

Returned items must be unused, in their original condition and, where possible, in their original packaging.

Unless an item is faulty or damaged, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the item.

Non-Returnable Items

We are unable to accept returns for:

  • Made-to-order items once production has begun

  • Bespoke or personalised items

  • Items that have been used, damaged or altered after delivery

  • Items returned outside the returns period

  • Any item that is not in a resaleable condition

This does not affect your statutory rights if an item is faulty or damaged.

Damaged or Faulty Items

Please check your order carefully on arrival.

If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us at hello@christabels.org as soon as possible, and ideally within 48 hours of delivery. Please include your order number, a description of the issue, and clear photographs of the item, packaging and any visible damage.

We will review the issue and, where appropriate, arrange a repair, replacement or refund.

Refunds

Refunds

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will confirm whether your refund has been approved.

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Please allow 5-7 days for the refund to appear in your account.

Original delivery charges may not be refunded unless the item is faulty, damaged or cancelled in accordance with your legal rights.

Product Care

Please follow any care instructions provided with your item or listed on the product page. We cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by incorrect use, improper cleaning, misuse, exposure to unsuitable conditions, or normal wear and tear.

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, Christabel Hart & Co owns or has permission to use all content on this website, including text, images, product descriptions, branding, graphics and design.

You may not copy, reproduce, republish, sell, rent, sub-license, distribute or otherwise use website content without our prior written permission.
